New Design, Better Card Sample

The colors are darker in real life. I used Versamark and used chalks to color the image. The grass and trees are Certainly Celery, the sun is Apricot Appeal, the flower is Regal Rose, and the bird is Almost Amethyst. I wish it showed up in the scan!

I like this one way better than the one I posted below. I hope you like it better, too!

The Cards I Made Tonight

I can't believe it's 11:30 p.m. already! These are the cards I'm thinking of demonstrating at a workshop Wednesday night. There are going to be around 15 people there. I've never done a party that big. (For those of you family members out of state, I sell rubber stamps made by Stampin' Up!) I'm trying to keep the cards quick and simple, but it's hard! I like the flower card and the celebrate card, but the white card is lacking something. Feel free to let me know what you think!

Madison Expected To Break Record As More Snow Comes

"MADISON, Wis. -- Madison is expected to have a new winter snowfall record by Tuesday morning. The Madison area is only one-half inch short of the seasonal mark of 76.1 inches set during the winter of 1978 and 1979. There's 4 to 6 inches of new snow anticipated because of an upper level disturbance crossing the state on Monday night."

Ugh! I'm trying to keep a postive attitude but this much snow is just craaazyyy!!! It hasn't even been a full week since our last storm, which dropped a whopping 18 inches. This isn't Wisconsin, this is SIBERIA! You know it's a bad winter when the sidewalks have walls. :) It'll be interesting to see just how high those walls get. I'm pretty sure we'll be borrowing our neighbor's snowblower tomorrow morning!

Isaac will be happy if there's a snow day tomorrow but Allie would be sad to miss preschool as it only meets two days a week.

About the pics I'm posting -- they were taken less than a week ago after the 18 or so inches we got. The ones during daylight show our friend and neighbor Greg sitting in a lawnchair wearing shorts and drinking a diet Coke while the neighborhood kids wait for the bus the morning after the snowstorm. I guess he's ready for summer, too.

Think Spring, think Spring, think Spring... I think I'll go stamp some cards with flowers on them. I'll post them when I'm done.
